EDIT: I've changed the scanned file of this image for the photographed one. I used a really textured paper for this artwork, and while it is lusssshhh to look at in my hand it looks horrible scanned (you have those ugly black texture dots like before). Having said that, even this edited photographed picture doesn't really look that good :noes: But at least it represents the original artwork better. I think I'm going to steal one of my friends' DSLR...

And oh yeah I found the full version of the theme song along with clips from the movie here: [link] *___* AI is amazing!

Berserk fanart! I've been quite excited for Berserk lately, the movie came out last week, can't wait to see it :la:. Trailer here: [link]

"A colourful funeral march" refers to The Eclipse (those who have read Berserk long enough will know of this), the terrible gorefest which made me go "WFT Griffith! Oh no Pippin! Judeau T_T NO CASCA NOOOOOOOOOOO"

So...yeah. Griffith here. I...don't really like Griffith. (I'm only drawing him because he's pretty shot). But about him: what a deceptive, calculating yet charming man he is. While his dream is not all that bad, his relentless pursue of his dream made him gain a heart - a human, yet cold heart - and it is this heart that his followers see as 'confidence'/ a heart 'so complex, so hard to pinpoint'.

I like Berserk, though I don't care about the action - but for the underlying emotions and conflict within each character. I find Berserk to be a sad, sad, sad, sad story. Usually people say The Golden Age is the happiest part of the story, but I think it's the saddest. It just had that sad tone to it. Probably because the more happier a person becomes, the more devastatingly sad the person will be when that happiness is taken away.

Anyway onto the movie- gosh that theme song by AI is amazing! Love love her voice :la:

p/s: On the artwork - that red 'ball' by his side is actually a red moon - I fail at painting moons, I knowwwww :noes:

This is one of the best Berserk arts I've seen. Definitely. The idea, the colours, the style, how it looks as a whole... Simply amazing.
